SENATOR TOKUNBO ABIRU ‘HOSTS’ CONSTITUENTS TO AN UNPRECEDENTED 60TH BIRTHDAY, DISTRIBUTES FOOD PALLIATIVES TO 10,000 HOUSEHOLDS

In what has been described as unprecedented, the Senator, representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Senator Adetokunbo Mikhail Abiru has hosted the largest and most impactful 60th birthday ‘party’.

The Banker-turned Senator in a special message to his constituents stated that, he could not afford to throw a lavish birthday party at a time many of his constituents are hungry, hence the decision to distribute dood palliatives to the vulnerable member of his Constituency.

‘It would be insensitive of me to host lavish celebrations while many in our community struggle to meet their basic needs, especially food’, he stated.

The Chairman, Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and Other Financial Institutions noted that, in view of the harsh economic realities currently confronting his constituents, it was imperative for him to prioritize their needs above festivities.

In a heartfelt message to Lagos East Constituents, Abiru expressed gratitude to God for his blessings and for sparing his life to witness his 60th birthday. He also thanked his wife, Fesyisola, and his children for their unwavering support.

He also conveyed his appreciation to the good people of Lagos East for entrusting him with their mandate. He also expressed deep appreciation to the leaders of his party, particularly President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, for their support and guidance in his political journey.

The distribution exercise which took place simultaneously across all Lagos East Senatorial District’s 16 Council Areas saw many vulnerable constituents wearing smiling looks as they receive packs of the Senator Abiru Food packs, containing 5kgs of rice, beans and garri.
