Also, a Muslim group, under the aegis of Ikorodu Muslim Community Association (IMCA) has also joined the train of Dr Agbaje’s well-wishers by wishing him a successful tenure of office.

The group, in its congratulatory message circulated on social media wrote,

‘Truly and apparently, delay is never denial. Every head destined for a crown, irrespective of antagonism and or scheming from any quarters, surely, the head will be crowned’.

The group added that, ‘Your nomination as a commissioner in Lagos State after much neglect and snub is an indication of Allah’s will. Through Allah’s guidance, HE (Allah) breathed into Islamic leaders in Ikorodu and Lagos State the thought of a peaceful protest to the Lagos State House of Assembly to oppose the imbalance commissioner-nominees list and halt the process of screening. This stride of the Muslim Community in Ikorodu and Lagos State prompted a redress and as a result, compelled the inclusion of our own Dr. Nurudeen Yekini Agbaje’.

‘As we give all glory, eulogy and adoration to Allah for this and your successful screening as well as confirmation by Lagos State House of Assembly as Commissioner-designate, Ikorodu Muslim Community Association (IMCA) heartily felicitates you on this elevation and well-befitting appointment to serve the people of Lagos State’, it concluded.
