Senator Adetokunbo Abiru FCA, Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District and his counterpart in the House of Reps, Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Hon Babajimi Benson has wooed voters across Ikorodu Division to support and vote for all APC candidates in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
The Ikorodu born federal lawmakers specifically urged voters in the Ikorodu Constituency 2 of the State to cast their votes for the party’s flag bearer for Hon Aro Moshood Abiodun, Ikorodu Constituency 2 House of Assembly seat, with the promise that he would provide quality representation for the good people of the area.
They both spoke in Ijede during the flag-off of the Ikorodu Division APC campaign yesterday.
Senator Abiru stated that, Hon Abiodun would ensure the delivery of democracy dividends to residents of Ikorodu Constituency 2 if elected.
Similarly, Hon Benson also assured the mammoth crowd that Abiodun was the right candidate that would put smiles on the faces of the constituents.
In his brief remark at the event, the party’s flag bearer, Hon Aro Moshood Abiodun (AMA) noted that his emergence as the APC candidate was divine. He thus assured the voters that he would put smiles on their faces if elected.
Speaking in similar vein, Ikorodu Division Local Government Chairmen were unanimous in their endorsement of Aro Moshood, Senator Abiru and Hon Benson. They also canvassed support for the emergence of the national leader of the APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Babajide Governor Sanwo-Olu as President and Governor respectively.
They spoke through the Executive Chairman of Igbogbo-Bayeku LCDA, Hon Sesan Daini who anchored the event and the Executive Chairman of Ijede LCDA, Hon Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, whose local council hosted the rally.
A major highlight of the colourful campaign flag-off was the presentation of the party’s flag to Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun by the former Deputy Governor of Lagos State and Ikorodu Division APC Apex Leader, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye.
Also, Hon. Ogunleye Gbolahan Adetokunbo, APC Ikorodu Constituency 1 House of Assembly candidate was also showcased to the mammoth crowd.
The flag-off event was graced by notable APC chieftains across Ikorodu Division.
Ikorodu Division Council Chairmen that graced the event included Hon. Wasiu Adeshina, Builder Adeola Banjo, Builder Olusesan Daini, Hon. Wasiu Agoro, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba and Agboyi-Ketu Council Chairman and Mayor Dele Oshinowo.
Party chieftains that graced the event were Prince Adesegun Ogunlewe, former APC Lagos East Vice Chairman, Asipa Kaoli Olusanya, Alhaji Babatunde Rotinwa and Dr Saheed Oladapo Ibikunle.
Others APC leaders in attendance were Hon Adebimpe Akinsola, Hon. Rotimi Abiru and Alhaji Rilwan Ishola Jinadu.
