Master Olaniyi Glory, a senior secondary school students and head boy of Sagab College, one of Ikorodu’s leading private secondary school has charged residents of Ikorodu community on the need to embrace cleanliness and maintain a healthy environment, through environmental sanitation.
He made this known, while speaking with Ikorodu Oga Radio during his school’s community service exercise on Thursday, 9th May, 2019.
‘I want to advise the residents of Ikorodu that we have a responsibility of keeping our environment clean. Most of the places we have been today are really dirty’, he noted.
‘It is necessary to impact your community positively and this can only be done by going out to do something that will be of great benefit. You cannot affect your community positively by remaining within the four walls of your school’, Glory added.
The SS2 students of Sagab College had embarked on the exercise, as part of its community service projects, towards giving back and as a way of connecting with its host community, Ikorodu.
