History will be made on Monday, 29th April as Rep Babajimi Benson, Chairman, House Committee on Defence will be performing the Ground-Breaking Ceremony for the construction of Ikorodu Local Government Legislative Building Project.
The ultra-modern edifice, a legacy project of the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon Wasiu Adeshina is a one-storey building that will serve as the official of the Council’s Legislative Arm.
The architectural masterpiece, according to Adeshina would be ready for commissioning within the next six months.
Explaining the rationale behind having Rep Benson perform the Ground-Breaking Ceremony, Adeshina explained that, Benson has distinguished himself as a federal lawmaker and is a role model to many of the legislators at the grassroots.
Some of the main features of the Legislative Building dubbed, Glass House are Digital Library, state-of-the-art Legislative Chamber and an exclusive office for the Leader of the House among other facilities.
