The Sekumade of Ipakodo, Oba Basiru Aremu Sotonwa has bestowed a special recognition award on an Ipakodo-based resident and business man, Mr Femi Komolafe, who also doubles as the CEO of City Grooves Bar & Lounge, Ipakodo.
Oba Sotonwa in his brief remarks at the private award presentation event noted that, Mr Komolafe was presented with the award, in recognition of his contributions to the development of Ipakodo Kingdom, both as an investor and an employer of labour.
Oba Sotonwa commended Komolafe for playing active role in Ipakodo Kingdom development, through his hospitality business.
Speaking further, the revered monarch appreciated the benevolence of Mr Komolafe Olufemi as he regarded him, a philanthropist and proud resident of Ipakodo kingdom who has etched his name in the annals of history for growth and development of the community.
Appreciating the honour bestowed on him, Mr Komolafe took the moment to narrate his experience as a business owner in Ikorodu West LCDA, and how he has prospered on all fronts in his over 10 years of living in Ipakodo community.
He concluded by thanking Oba Sotonwa for presiding over one of the most peaceful, progressive and hospitable community, where non-indigenes like him can live peacefully and prosper.
The award presentation comes, as preparations are in top gear for the hosting of the 2nd Edition of the Annual Ipakodo Day Celebrations billed for October 2023.
The annual community event provides the platform for indigenes and residents of Ipakodo Kingdom to felicitate in harmonious relationship of the value enjoyed by the entire good people of Ipakodo Kingdom of Ikorodu West LCDA.
