IKORODU LOCAL GOVERNMENT EDUCATION STAKEHOLDERS COMMEND EDUCATION SECRETARY, ALH. TAIWO ODUMBO’S UNPRECEDENTED STRIDES IN 365 DAYS IN OFFICE

Critical education stakeholders across Ikorodu Division have jointly commended the unprecedented strides so far recorded in the last 365 days in office of the Ikorodu Local Government Education Secretary, Alh. Taiwo Odumbo.

Com. Taiwo Temitope Tairu, Chairman of the National Union of Teachers, Ikorodu Local Government, in his remarks at the 365 days in office press conference, commended Odumbo, stating that, ‘he has done a very great work for Ikorodu Local Government. While his predecessors have done their own bit, our current E.S. has done unprecedentedly well. He is God’s gift to us in this LGEA’, he said.

Mrs. Osho, speaking on behalf of all six HODs across Ikorodu Local Government, lauded Odumbo for bringing vibrant and youthful energy into the office of the Executive Secretary.

Speaking on behalf of all the six Supervisors for Education in Ikorodu Division, Hon. Adeyemi Benson, Supervisor for Education, Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, who himself is a trained teacher, described Odumbo as a collaborator.

‘He is a man of collaboration and relationship who has leveraged his good human relationship capacity to bring positive turnaround into the primary education sector in the Division’, he stated.

Benson also praised the E.S. for churning out regular updates on the activities of his office across media platforms.

Chairman of all Head Teachers in Ikorodu Local Government, Mrs. Monsurat Odumade described Odumbo’s 365 days in office as simply unprecedented.
She went ahead to appreciate the E.S. for being a listening leader whose support for Head Teachers has been tremendous.

Earlier, a former Chairman of National Union of Teachers, Ikorodu Chapter, Alh. Lateef Oduguwa, in his brief remarks, openly confirmed that all the achievements listed in the E.S.’s 365 days score card as visible and impactful projects that resonate with the teachers and pupils across the local government.

He equally noted that the Education Secretary’s achievements were so numerous, while pointing out that he left out some important projects, thus underscoring his impactful leaderahip.

Oduguwa concluded by appreciating Odumbo for organizing the Press Conference as a benchmark for appraising future Education Secretaries.

Similarly, a former Ikorodu N.U.T. Chairman and Public Relations Officer of Nigeria Union of Teachers, Lagoa State, Com. Oluwafemi Fakolade, in his brief remarks applauded Odumbo’s sense of vision, passion and tenacity.

“Fakol”, as he is popularly called also appreciated the E.S. for promoting teacher-friendly policies since he assumed office while encouraging him to sustain the tempo in the years ahead.

Chairman of Ikorodu Oga Development Association (IKODASS), Alh. Kolawole Fatai Olayiwola who also graced the event, lauded Odumbo’s strides, while assuring him of IKODASS collaboration towards delivering quality primary education in Ikorodu.

The event climaxed with interaction with members of the media, which later culminated in more outpouring of commendations from all distinguished guests.
