The Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali has expressed the readiness on behalf of his subjects and the entire Igbogbo residents to collaborate with the Lagos state governor, His excellency, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode and state government, in bringing development to the community.
The monarch made this disclosure while making his royal remarks at the formal commissioning of the Ebute-Igbogbo road phase 1. He said, ‘my people have sent me to the governor, first to appreciate him for the commissioning of this new road and his promise for speedy completion of the phase 2. They also sent me to tell you that, they are ready to pay their tax promptly and will be willing and ready to support every government project within and around our community’.
In what appears like a tacit appeal to the Lagos state government to consider Igbogbo town in his next development plans, the lawyer turned monarch has made a very bold statement and made a very strong case for his people, the way he would have done in a law court.
With this, Oba Kasali has once again justified his selection and coronation as the Adeboruwa of Igbogbo barely one year ago, after the demise of the former monarch, Oba Johnson Fatola.
