HON JIMI BENSON FLAGS OFF TWO ADDITIONAL ROADS IN IKORODU, CANVASSES FOR THE RE-ELECTION OF HON WASIU ADESHINA

Hon Babajimi Benson, member representing Ikorodu federal Constituency at the House of Representatives has made good his promise to residents of Ikorodu to flag off two additional roads in the local government.

Hon Benson, who also doubles as the Chairman, House Committee on Defence made the promise last month, while inspceting five (5) adjoining roads facilitated by him at Sabo area of Ikorodu, while chatting with newsmen when he toured the roads to inspect the level of work done.

Addressing some elated residents of Ademoye, Igbamitayo and Alashe streets in Ikorodu behind OgbogbobPolice Barracks on Saturday, Hon Benson stated that, he facilitated the road projects, in appreciation of the huge support the APC has received from the good people of Ikorodu in past elections.

‘You have always supported us with your votes during elections. You voted for me during my first and second term, you have voted for Governor Sanwoolu and you also voted for our Senator, Tokunbo Abiru. The flag-off of these roads today is to reciprocate your good gestures and make you happy for your unalloyed support to our great party’, he said.

He equally appealed to them to ensure they vote Hon Wasiu Adeshina as Chairman, Ikorodu local government for a second term in office, in the coming local government election in the State.

Hon Benson also assured the residents that work will start on the road projects immediately and will be completed within three (3) months. This promise was corroborated by Engr Muhammed who is supervising the project.

Hon Benson concluded by commending the visibly elated residents of the three streets who trooped out in their numbers to receive him organised a brief but very warm reception they gave him and his entourage.

True to the words of the legislator, our reporter who stayed back for a while witnessed the immediate commencement of work on the drainage on Ademoye end of the adjoining streets.
