BRT OPERATORS TO LAUNCH FREE WIFI SERVICE ON ITS FLEET OF BUSES

In another development, the management of Primero Transport Services Ltd, operators of the Blue BRT Buses has announced the commencement of free wifi internet services on board its fleet of buses. The new value added initiative of the BRT bus operations was announced by Mr Fola Tinubu, Managing Director of the transport company.

He revealed this during a guided tour of the company’s facilities in Majidun, Ikorodu, on Wednesday, March 22nd, 2017, with a team of Lagos State Council of Trade Union Congress, TUC. At the tour, Mr Tinubu stated that the company has also commenced work on reducing interface with ticket sellers, where 90 to 95 per cent of passengers could buy tickets online in order to reduce queues at various terminals.

In a chat with Ikorodu Oga Radio, Mosun Sanni, Spokesperson of Primero Transport Services Ltd disclosed that the free wifi service has been on since last year, but was restricted to only 100 buses. She explained that the goodnews is that, the company is now extending the service to all their fleet of buses, for the benefit of Lagosians.

It would be recalled that Mr Tinubu had last year during the company’s one-year anniversary celebration reeled out a number of projects the transport company will undertake in 2017, including a vehicle assembly plant to be established in Ikorodu. He also disclosed his guests; during the tour, that discussion was in top gear with a foreign firm to establish the bus assembly plant.
