We have been made aware of a circulating write-up titled “ Ikorodu Is Not An Experiment.”

While we appreciate the goodwill and passion of supporters who continue to believe in the work of our Principal, we wish to respectfully state that the tone and framing of that message do not reflect his philosophy of politics or public service.

Ikorodu is a community of enlightened people. We have always conducted our politics with dignity, mutual respect, and a clear understanding that aspiration is not a crime, and competition is not hostility.

For those familiar with the trajectory of Rep. Babajimi Benson’s political journey and the culture of his team over the years, it is evident that communications of this nature do not emanate from our fold – it is clearly a case of IMPERSONATION!
Our tradition has always been anchored on restraint, responsibility, and respect for all stakeholders within the political space.

Rep. Babajimi Benson has, over the years, maintained a consistent position:
that leadership is about service, not supremacy; impact, not insult.

He does not see fellow aspirants as adversaries, but as partners in the shared responsibility of building a better Ikorodu.

Accordingly, we wish to state unequivocally that we welcome and respect the right of every qualified individual to aspire to represent our people at the Federal House of Representatives.

This right is firmly rooted in the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and as a lawmaker and seasoned legal practitioner, our Principal remains deeply committed to upholding both the letter and the spirit of the law.

While it is natural for supporters to express their convictions, it is important that such expressions do not create unnecessary divisions or diminish the values that have sustained our political culture.

Our focus remains unchanged.

The record of service is visible.
The work speaks across communities.
And the commitment to the people continues – steadily and responsibly.

As we approach another political season, we urge all supporters and stakeholders to conduct themselves in a manner that reflects the maturity, unity, and foresight that Ikorodu is known for.

Let our conversations be guided by respect.
Let our engagements reflect substance.
And let our politics continue to be defined by progress, not provocation.

Rep. Babajimi Benson remains committed to serving with integrity, building with purpose, and representing the collective interest of the people – without descending into divisive rhetoric.

Ikorodu will always move forward – together.

Signed,
Rep. Babajimi Benson Media Team
