The Ayangburen of Ikorodu, Oba Engr. Kabiru Adewale Shotobi GCIO has passed a public vote-of-confidence on the Chairman of Ikorodu-Oga Development Association (IKODASS), Alh. Kolawole Fatai Olayiwola, DCIO for starting the 2025 edition of Ikorodu-Oga Festival Celebration on a good note.
Oba Shotobi gave the vote-of-confidence while presenting post-humous awards to children and family members of the honourees who have contributed to the development of sports in Ikorodu during their lifetime.
‘IKODASS Chairman, you have done very well by remembering our forefathers who have done very well in their lifetime. We thank you for starting this year’s celebration on a good note, and we thank you for this initiative’.
The Grand-Commander of Ikorodu-Oga intermittently praised the IKODASS Chairman during the different award presentations, describing him as ‘our performing IKODASS Chairman’.
Since his election in May, Kolawole, who once served as Deputy Chairman of the apex Ikorodu socio-cultural organization from 2017-2021 has introduced several innovations that has enhanced the general public image of the association.
