Prominent royal fathers, like the Akarigbo of Remo Land, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, Ayangburen of Ikorodu, Oba Engr Kabiru Adewale Shotobi, Osile of Oke-Ona Oba Dr. Adedapo Tejuosho and Adeboruwa of Igbogbo, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali were among prominent royal fathers that graced the 90th birthday celebration of a retired Secretary of Nigeria’s Federal Cabinet Office, under the Supreme Military Council of Nigeria, Dr. Akinola Ajose Ogunlewe on his 90th birthday celebration in Lagos.
The event was also attended by the Ewusi of Makun Sagamu, Oba …. and the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Aremu Akiolu who was ably represented at the event by the Obanikoro of Lagos, Chief …. and other Lagos White Cap Chiefs.
Other dignitartries that honored the celebrant were the Executive Chairman of Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA, Hon. Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun and his Ijede LCDA counterpart, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, among other prominent political office holders.
The exclusive private 90th birthday Thanksgiving and Reception which was held at the nonegerian’s Victoria Island home was attended by the who-is-who in Lagos and Nigeria’s political and business circles as well as the celebrant’s family members and relatives who flew in from various parts of the world ro honour the elder-statesman.
The entire leadership of the United African Methodist Church, Nigeria, and overseas also turned out in their large number to celebrate a man that has steered the leadership of the Church for over three decades as Lay President and Chairman, Board of Trustees.
Addressing the royal fathers and other dignitartries, the celebrant who is also the patriarch of the Fadugba-Ogunlewe dynasty stated that the event was not a party but an opportunity to show appreciation to God for His faithfulness over his life and family.
Earier in his sermon, the Bishop of UAMC noted that the celebrant’s life had been one dedicated to the Service of God and humanity.
He commended the celebrant for his commitment to the propagation of the Gospel of Jesus, through his support for church expansion in Nigeria and Benin Republic.
