The storms gathered by the Democracy Day Anniversary celebrated across Nigeria on Thursday, June 12 have continued to elicit conversations among key stakeholders across different sectors of the nation.
To further commemorate the nation’s 26th Democracy Day anniversary, The Elevation Church, Ikorodu West Expression is set to host a strategic Democracy Day Service and Political Dialogue with Ikorodu Federal Rep Member, Babajimi Benson, MHR as the Keynote Speaker.
Benson, who chairs the House Committee on Defence will be delivering the keynote address on the theme: Democracy, Church and Nation-Building.
The special service tagged: Democracy Day Service and Political Dialogue will also feature inspiring conversations, panel session, Q & A, an overview of the nation’s 26 years democracy, Meet & Greet among other activities.
The event which holds at Aquila Event Centre, Adjacent General Hospital, Ikorodu will equally afford the federal lawmaker the opportunity to engage with his constituents and provide insights into some knotty issues relating to Nigeria’s 26th Democratic Anniversary experiences, major milestones and the future ahead.
In the words of Pastor Kolawole Shawana, Resident Pastor of The Elevation Church, Ikorodu Expression, ‘We are a socially responsible Church commission with a strong passion for raising socially responsible Christians who contribute meaningfully to Nation-Building and the economic prospects of the society’.
“The Elevation Church is a Global Church Movement with the mandate to ‘Make Greatness Common’, through service to God and mankind”, he added.
Concluding, Shawana further explained that the Church settled for Rep. Benson as Keynote Speaker at the Democracy Day Service in recognition of his exemplary leadership qualities as evident in the numerous impactful ways he has touched the lives of Ikorodu Federal Constituents both in legislative, oversight and constituency intervention projects.
