Barely one month to the much-anticipated July Local Governments elections in Lagos State, a major contender in the recently concluded APC Primary election and incumbent Vice Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government Hon Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba has drummed support for all APC party flagbearers across Ikorodu Local Government and five local council development areas, namely Imota, Igbogbo-Baiyeku, Ijede, Ikorodu North and Ikorodu West LCDA.
Olabanji-Oba who is also the Founder of Asiwaju Distinguished Ambassadors’ Movement (ADAM) gave the support at a lavish press conference she held under the umbrella of ADAM to commemorate the 2nd year anniversary of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as President of Nigeria and endorse him for a second term in office.
In her address to the members of ADAM, party faithfuls and media men in attendance, Princess Oba stated that she remained a committed progressive and party loyalist who will always align herself with the party’s position on any matter.
She noted that she has put the primaries behind her declaring that as a true progressive, it was time to move forward.
‘While not being unmindful of the political undercurrents in the last primary election of our party, we remain unfettered and unwavering in the “Grow Ikorodu Project”. “Party first’ is our watchword at all times. We are tireless party faithfuls who will continue to champion the vision of Mr President for grassroots development’, she said.
The National Chairman of all Vice Chairman of Local Governments in Nigeria also used the opportunity to urge all loyal members of the APC to come out en masse and vote for all Ikorodu Division APC Chairmanship candidates in the July council polls., namely, Hon. Adedayo Ladega (Ikorodu Local Government), Hon. Sulaimon Kazeem (Ikorodu West LCDA), Hon. Ameen Apanishile (Ikorodu North LCDA), Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo Alogba (Ijede LCDA), Hon. Hammed Aroyewun (Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA), and Hon. Benson Ayodele (Imota LCDA) respectively.
Speaking further, she said, ‘we are fully behind all APC candidates in the forthcoming local government elections. From Ward A to Ward G, we are united, focused and ready to win ‘, she declared.
‘We must work hand in hand, Street by street – not just for victory at the polls, but for real development in every corner of Ikorodu’, she concluded.
