JULY 12TH LG ELECTIONS: REP. BENSON ENGAGES PARTY STAKEHOLDERS, CANVASSES VOTES FOR IKORODU DIVISION APC CHAIRMANSHIP, COUNCILLORSHIP CANDIDATES ON LIVE RADIO SHOW

Ahead of the July 12th Local Government Elections in Lagos State, Rep. Babajimi Benson MHR, Ikorodu Federal Constituency, has engaged APC party stakeholders in Ikorodu Division, canvassing for the votes of constituents for all the six APC local government chairmanship candidates and all the party’s councillorship candidates in the Saturday election.

The routine stakeholders meeting held at the Lawmaker’s Constituency Office served as another round of regular meaningful engagements by Benson with the leadership of the APC at the wards and local government levels.

Benson described the engagement as a platform for advancing his commitment to service, party unity, and grassroots development across the Ikorodu Federal Constituency.

Earlier, the amiable Federal Lawmaker distributed the monthly July edition of the iCare Foundation’s monthly Àpò Àánú Outreach, where hundreds of indigent families and vulnerable individuals across the six LCDAs benefited from his monthly food bank initiative.

Benson also used the opportunity of the strategic meeting with the entire leadership structure of his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC)—from ward executives to divisional leaders across Ikorodu Division, to charge them to rally support for all the APC Chairmanship and Councillorship candidates in the coming elections.

Benson and the party stakeholders through the dialogue reflected on their journey, reinforced party discipline, and mapped out strategies ahead of the upcoming local government elections.

Charging the party faithfuls, Benson said, ‘Our work continues – and as always, we remain committed to putting the people first, promoting unity within the party and pursuing sustainable development for the good of all’, he promised.

To further strengthen the APC’s voters mobilization drive, Rep. Benson and the six APC Chairmanship candidates were hosted on a live political sensitization engagement session on IKD 106.1FM community radio station, along with some councillorship candidates across the Division.

The radio conversation was a lively and forward-looking conversation centered on capacity, accountability, and deepening our party’s connection with the grassroots.

The meeting ended with a consensus among party faithfuls to work towards promoting unity within the party and pursuing sustainable development for the good of all.
