
In a bid to boost the productivity of the informal sector in Ikorodu, the Lawmaker representing the good people of Ikorodu Constituency 1, Hon. Gbolahan Ogunleye has given financial assistance to 50 market men and women in the form of a financial grant.
The grant, according to Ogunleye was aimed at stimulating Ikorodu’s local economy and by extension boosting its contributions to the overall GDP of the State in general.
In his opening remarks at the event, Ogunleye noted that market men and women represented a large percentage of residents of Ikorodu, hence the need to support them towards increased profitability.
He added that, most of these women were bread-winnners in their various homes, stressing that any assistance rendered to them would directly impact their individual family members.
