
Ikorodu Oga Development Association (IKODASS), the umbrella body of Ikorodu Community groups, Clubs and Associations across the community on Saturday 19th April held its Annual General Meeting to wind up the activities of the next executive.
The meeting, presided over by the Chairman of the Association, Mr Rotimi Erogbogbo was well attended by prominent members of the association, including a Member of the Board of Trustees, Otunba Ganiyu Olusegun Abiru.

Representatives of several groups and associations also attended the meeting where salient issues relating to the progress of the Association and Ikorodu community in particular, were discussed.
In his brief address at the meeting, Chairman of IKODASS, Erogbogbo reeled out a catalogue of achievements recorded under his two term four (4) year tenure in office.

He reported that his administration embarked on ‘Changing the Narratives’ as a focus of his administration as a way of changing the wrong impressions being created about Ikorodu by Lagosians outside the community through many programmes and Initiatives that helped shape a positive outlook for the town.
The outgoing Chairman equally reported that, apart from several school rehabilitation projects facilitated by the body in many public schools in Ikorodu, the Association’s finances have been improved upon through increased revenues from her activities.

Erogbogbo equally charged the incoming administration to ensure the continuity of the educational development initiatives of the body as this will help improve the quality of public school facilities in Ikorodu, with attendant positive effect on the
A major highpoint of the meeting was the nomination and Inauguration of members of the Electoral Commitee by Erogbogbo.

The 5-man Committee headed by Asiwaju Banjoko Olalekan has Surv. Rabiu Yekeen Adenuga as Secretary and Alh. F.A.T Olanrewaju as Treasurer.
other members of the Committee inaugurated are Com. Razak Fasasi and Alh Olasunkanmi Onafowokan.

The Committee was given the mandate to conduct the election for the new executive within the next three 3-weeks.
Attendees at the meeting also seized the opportunity to celebrate the 65th birthday celebration of the Chairman with special birthday song renditions and Celebrant’s dance.
