As part of the welfare and empowerment initiatives lined up for the good people of Ikorodu Local Government, Ikorodu Division Market men and women, under the leadership of the Iyaloja-General of Ikorodu Division, Dcns Busola Isikalu has been shortlisted as beneficiaries of an official vehicle, Ikorodu Oga Radio can authoritatively report.
This disclosure was made by the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon. Wasiu Adeshina on Monday, during his brief remarks at the 2-in-1 Birthday and Women Empowerment Programme hosted by the Ikorodu Division APC Woman Leader, Alh. Rashidat Bello at the Council Secretariat on Monday.
Among other upcoming empowerment initiatives, Adeshina announced that his administration will be presenting an official vehicle to the Association of Commodity Market Women and Men Association of Nigeria in Ikorodu Division, under the leadership of the Iyaloja-General of Ikorodu Division, Dcns Busola Isikalu, to enhance their movement and activities.
He stated that the market men and women association were critical stakeholders in the Ikorodu local government administration, hence the gesture.
The Council boss equally announced the planned presentation of financial aid to party loyalists, the aged as well as selected have-nots across various strata of the society within the coming weeks.
The economic empowerment initiatives, according to Adeshina were to further demonstrate the commitment of his administration to the welfare of residents.
