FORMER CHAIRMAN OF IKORODU LOCAL GOVERNMENT, HON. WASIU ADESHINA VISITS IKORODU DIVISION APEX LEADERS, APPRECIATES THEIR SUPPORT, SEEKS FUTURE PARTNERSHIPS

About three months after he left office as the number one citizen of Ikorodu Local Government, Hon Wasiu Adeshina has paid special courtesy visits to two prominent Apex leaders of Ikorodu Division ruling party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The visit, according to Adeshina was meant to formally register his appreciation to the political leaders for standing by him throughout his nine and half years at the helms of affairs, as the Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government.

Adeshina was joined on the visit by the immediate past Secretary to Ikorodu Local government, Hon. Lateef Afinnih; a former aide, Hon. Banwo; the Ikorodu Division Woman Leader, Alh. Rasheedat Bello and prominent members of the WADESH Group, his political machinery.

During the visit to his political god-father and mentor, Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, Adeshina expressed deep gratitude to the former Deputy Governor of Lagos State for his unflinching support for him and his political career.

Adeshina, during the visits stated that he has laid a solid foundation for the development of Ikorodu Local Government, as evident in numerous infrastructural projects he embarked upon while in office.

He equally stated that the visit was also meant to signal his return to active party politics, after a well-deserved rest and reflections since he left office in July.

Similarly, the former council boss and his team also visited a former Secretary to Lagos State Government, Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Bashorun, who is also a GAC member and Apex APC Leader in Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA.

Adeshina eulogized the party leader’s leadership, counsel and support for his near-one-decade administration in Ikorodu Local Government.

Responding, Prince Ogunleye thanked Adeshina and his team for the visit. The GAC member further expressed satisfaction with Adeshina’s performance in office while wishing him well in his future endeavours.

Adeshina subsequently presented letters of appreciation and gifts to the party chieftains as a demonstration of his respect for them.
