EXCITEMENTS AS REP BABAJIMI BENSON IS SET TO FLAG OFF 7.5 KILOMETER AGBEDE ITA-OLUWO ROAD, ALMOST 40 YEARS AFTER

There is great excitement across Ikorodu Division of Lagos State today, 20th September as Rep Babajimi Benson, Member representing Ikorodu Federal Constituency in the House of Reps is set to formally break the ground for the construction of Agbede-Ita-Oluwo road project, almost 40 years after the road was constructed.

The 7.5km long stretch of road connects tens of communities from Agbede Olunla in Ikorodu West LCDA in Lagos State and border town of Ita Oluwo in Ikorodu North LCDA of Lagos State and some parts of Ogun State, with millions of residents living in the axis having to grapple with the daily pressure of plying the dilapidated road for decades.

Business and economic activities along the axis have remained comatose with several failed attempts by successive governments to rehabilitate the road.

All that has now become history as thousands of residents along the axis can now heave a sigh of relief with the intervention of the Ikorodu Federal lawmaker.

Life and business activities along the axis are expected to pick up once the road project is completed.

Community leaders, traditional rulers and excited residents are all gearing up to receive their caring and responsive Federal House of Reps members who they popularly called “Julius Berger” of Ikorodu, due to his massive interventions in road constructions across the six council areas of IkoroduDivision.
