EID-EL-FITR: SENATOR TOKUNBO ABIRU PREACHES KINDNESS, COMPASSION AND RELIGIOUS DIVERSITY FOR NATIONAL PROGRESS

As the Muslim faithfuls across the world marks the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations, signalling the end of the annual Ramadan fasting season, the Senator, representing Lagos East Senatorial District has urged his constituents to embrace compassion, kindness and religious diversity for national progress.

Abiru, who is also the Chairman of the Southern Senators’ Forum stated this in his special Eid-el-Fitr message to Muslim Ummahs across Lagos East Senatorial District.

‘On behalf of my family, I extend heartfelt felicitations to my esteemed constituents, especially the Muslim Ummah of the Lagos East Senatorial District, as we celebrate Eid-El-Fitr, marking the end of the blessed month of Ramadan’.

‘Eid-El-Fitr embodies the values of sacrifice, perseverance, love, and harmony, reminding us to extend kindness and compassion to one another while embracing our diversity for national progress. Throughout Ramadan, we embarked on a journey of spiritual growth, discipline, and self-reflection. As we move forward, let us uphold the virtues of sacrifice, selflessness, and obedience to the teachings of Islam in our daily lives’, he added.

He continued, ‘I urge my Muslim brothers and sisters to remain steadfast on the righteous path exemplified by Ramadan, fostering peace, understanding, and cooperation within our communities. May we continue to draw inspiration from the profound lessons of this sacred month and embody them throughout the year’.
