
The Executive Chairman of Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area, Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun, has congratulated Christians and residents of the council area on the celebration of Easter, calling on them to embrace the values of love, sacrifice and unity that the season represents.
In a goodwill message released to mark the occasion, the council chairman described the celebration of Easter as a significant moment in the Christian faith, symbolising victory of light over darkness, hope over despair, and life over death.
Aroyewun urged residents to use the period of reflection to strengthen communal harmony and renew their commitment to the peace and development of the LCDA.
Part of the statement reads:
“On this glorious occasion of Easter, I extend my heartfelt felicitations to every resident of our beloved Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area.
He is Risen! These powerful words remind us of the ultimate triumph of light over darkness, hope over despair, and life over death. As we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, may this season fill our hearts with renewed faith, hope, and boundless joy.
To my Christian brothers and sisters, may this Easter bring you spiritual rejuvenation and draw you closer to the divine promises of salvation and eternal life.
Let us use this period to reflect on the values of sacrifice, love, forgiveness, and unity that Easter represents. May we continue to live in harmony, support one another, and work collectively toward the progress and development of our dear LCDA.

He further encouraged residents to continue supporting policies and programmes aimed at improving the welfare and overall development of communities within the council area.
