Hundreds of community stakeholders and guests were thrown into unexpected excitements and cheers as Rep. Benson announces the plan to commence the full rehabilitation of the Elepe community major access road in the first quarter of 2026.
The announcement signals a major succour for residents of the Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA community, given the deplorable state of the community main access road.
Benson made the announcement on Monday, 22nd December 2025 at Elepe Community in Igbogbo-Baiyeku LCDA during the official commissioning and hand-over of an ultra-modern smart police station to Elepe community in Ikorodu Division.
Benson, while making the announcement stated that, having been impressed by the community for providing the land used in building the police station to the federal government free-of-charge, he was compelled to reciprocate their good gesture.
Benson equally announced that he would facilitate the procurement of a patrol Toyota Hilux van to the new police station by the first quarter of 2026 to enhance the station’s operational efficiency.
Earlier, Benson paid glowing tribute to the departed soul of Oba Abdul Ganiyu Omotayo, Fidimolu of Elepe Kingdom, who facilitated the release of the expanse of land at no cost.
Benson stressed that, but for the selflessness of the monarch, the project would not have been possible.
The Federal lawmaker also commended members of the community for cooperating with the contractors, thus making him deliver thr project within the project timeline.
