
The Chairman, South-South Senators’ Forum, Senator Tokunbo Abiru has saluted the visionary leadership of the Ayangburen of Ikorodu, Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi GCIO.
Abiru who is a prominent son of Ikorodu gave the salutation on Saturday, during the grand-finale of the annual community-wide celebration.
I am delighted to felicitate with our revered royal father, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Engr.) Kabir Adewale Shotobi, the Ayangbure of Ikorodu and Paramount Ruler of Ikorodu Division, the Ikorodu-Oga Development Association (IKODASS), and the entire sons and daughters of Ikorodu on the celebration of the 2025 Ikorodu Oga Day Festival.
The Ikorodu Oga Day has, over the years, evolved into a distinguished platform that showcases our rich cultural heritage, and shared communal pride. It stands as a unifying celebration that reinforces our collective identity and commitment to the progress of Ikorodu and Lagos East Senatorial District at large.
I salute Alayeluwa for his visionary leadership, wisdom, and unwavering commitment to peace, development, and cultural preservation across Ikorodu Division. Under his reign, Ikorodu has witnessed tremendous growth in infrastructure, business, education, and youth development, reflecting the spirit of unity and progress that defines our people.
As we mark this year’s edition of Ikorodu Oga Day, I urge all indigenes and residents to continue to work together in harmony, uphold our cultural values, and support initiatives that drive sustainable development and social advancement.
May this celebration usher in greater peace, prosperity, and progress for Ikorodu and all her people.
