2025 IKODIV TRADE FAIR: ICCI SET TO PROMOTE TALENTS, INNOVATION WITH PITCH-A-THON IN ARTS, TECH, FASHION

Ikorodu Division is set to witness an unprecedented 2025 IKODIV Trade Fair in partnership with the Lagos State University of Sccience and Technology (LASUSTECH), emphasizingits role in introducing innovation-driven development into the community. .

The 2025 IKODIV Trade Fair is scheduled to
hold from December 1st – 10th, 2025, at the Lagos State University of Science and Technology (LASUSTECH) Campus, Ikorodu, and will feature an unprecedented showcase of talents and innovation with the plans to host a pitch-a-thon in arts tech, innovation, and fashion.

The pitch-a-thon, according to the organizers, is meant to create a unique platform for young talents and innovators across the division to showcase their unique skills and talents.

President of Ikorodu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Chief Tele Oduloye stated that IKODIV has become the veritable platform for driving economy and innovation in Ikorodu Division.

He equally stresed that the annual trade fair has become the second largest trade fair in Lagos State, after the Lagos International Trade Fair, making the Ikorodu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) a model for others in the state.


The trade fair preas conference with the theme “Optimal Utilization of Technological Innovtions to Drive Industrial and Commercial Activities in Ikorodu Division”, brought together stakeholders, business leaders, and community representatives to formally announce commencement of activities for his year’s edition.

He stated that the fair would foster mass marketability of SME products, create growth opportunities, and support
sustainable economic advancement within
the Ikorodu division.

Chairman of the Local Organising Committee, Alhaji Kolawole Fatai, in his address, described the IKODIV trade fair as a landmark event on Ikorodu’s business calendar, expected to be ‘bigger, better, and more impactful than ever before’.

The 2025 IKODIV Trade Fair Local Organizing Committee Chairman also stated that the trade fair will serve as
more than a marketplace. It will be a platform for networking, collaboration, and knowledge-sharing, where large corporations, SMEs, and informal sector players will converge.

He further disclosed that exhibitors will have the opportunity to connect with potential customers, establish new patnerships, and expand their market reach.

He also gave insight into the fair’s comprehensive program, which includes seminars, workshops, and product demonstrations led by industry experts, designed to provide entrepreneurs with practical skills and insights.

Similarly, a consultant to ICCI, Miss Mercy outlined innovative concepts
aimed at making IKODIV 2025 a multi-sectoral showcase, with key highlights which include: Sectoral trade exhibitions
(arts, agriculture, healthcare, entrepre-
neurship, and more) SME Pitch-A-Thon and Talent Show — providing young people from agro, tech, and industrial sectors with platforms to showcase creativity and innovations

She further emphasized Ikorodu’s cultural and creative identity, underscoring that the fair would not only promote commerce but also celebrate the division’s heritage while positioning it as a strategic hub for entrepreneurship, industrialization, and investment in Lagos State.

Second Deputy President of the ICCI, Alh. Adeola Rotinwa in her brief remarks at the media parley, charged the media to spread the gospel of IKODIV 2025 trade fair assuring that it was going to be a fantastic 10 days for participants.

The press conference was graced by some principal officers and senior management staff of LASUSTECH and some prominent members of the ICCI.
