10TH CORONATION ANNIVERSARY: ORIWU CLUB, IKORODU HOSTS PRIVATE LAUNCH FOR OBA SHOTOBI’S COMMEMORATIVE BOOK, “ILUFEMILOBA: THE ROYAL STRIDES OF A CLASSY MONARCH”

Barely three weeks after hosting a week-long historic 10th Coronation Anniversary ceremony, the ripple effects of the landmark event are yet to settle.

The Book Publication Sub-Connittee, under the leadership of a former two-term Commissioner for Agriculture in Lagos State, Asiwaju Kaoli Olusanya has launched a post-event private book launch campaign for the 10th Coronation Anniversary commemorative book, ILUFEMILOBA: THE Royal Strides of a Classy Monarch.

The team was hosted to a private book launch by the President and Executive and entire members of Oriwu Club, Ikorodu as a way of supporting the monarch’s laudable initiative.

The private launch was part of the activities for the club’s monthly meeting and was attended by prominent members of the Club withinand outside Ikorodu.

Speaking on the book, Oba Shotobi stated that the book chronicles his one decade of impactful leadership in Ikorodu, and will serve as an additional body of historic knowledge on Ikorodu for the cureent and upcoming generations.

The monarch equally noted that proceeds generated from the book will be used to fund some of his youth empowerment and other community development initiatives for residents of Ikorodu, under the aegis of the Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi Royal Foundation.

Earlier, Asiwaju Kaoli Olusanya in his opening remarks stressed that while the 10th Coronation Anniversary has officially ended, the Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi Royal Foundation is Oba’s Shotobi’s perpetual legacy gift for Ikorodu, hence the post-event book launch aimed at raising funds for the foundation.

Also, Speaking at the event, President of Oriwu Club, Prince Ganie Oluwole commended Oba Shotobi for documenting major milestones recorded during his 10-year reign, while encouraging members to support the Life Patron of the Club wih handsome donations.

A major highlight of the event was the cutting of the birthday cake by August celebrants, supervised by Oba Shotobi who subsequently showered royal blessings on the celebrants.
